CHILDREN WITH LEARNING PROBLEM

Learning problem:

All learning problems originate from some deficiency either in the child’s heredity or in his environment. They affect adversely the pupil’s progress in school and lead to him being described as educationally backward and in need of remedial or special education.

Care:Little can be done to normalize the progress of a pupil who has genetic weakness such as physical or multiple handicapped but the teacher should be able to recognize the symptoms of these problems and take whatever action will help the pupil to make the best progress possible.

Most physically handicapped in less sever from may pass unrecognized but affect adversely the pupil’s performance in school. Teacher sometimes mistakes such symptoms for laziness or inattention and should be careful to avoid jumping to hasty conclusions that can only harm the child further. In addition to that there are a few physical conditions that contribute to learning difficulties. One of these is dyslexia which is sometimes described as word blindness because who suffer from it find reading and writing difficulty. They confuse letters and cannot keep their line in order of reading. They are called dyslexic children. If someone read for them, they can easily understand it.
